Round Sling vs Flat Webbing Sling: Buying Specification
Compare the construction, contact surface, end form and RFQ details for two textile lifting sling families.

Start with the load contact
A flat webbing sling presents a broad woven bearing surface. A round sling encloses a load-bearing core inside a textile cover. The right construction depends on the load, the contact shape, the available lifting points and the instructions for the rated product. A photograph or colour cannot establish working load limit.
Define length and termination
For a flat eye-to-eye sling, record the effective working length, webbing width and eye treatment. For an endless round sling, record its effective length and sleeve dimensions. An eye-type round sling is a separate construction and should be named explicitly. Attach an existing label photograph when replacing a sling.
Confirm rating and protection
State the required WLL, sling angle and lifting method. Describe any sharp edge, abrasion or heat concern and request a compatible protective sleeve where needed. A sleeve can help with contact damage but does not increase the load rating of the sling.
Send a comparable RFQ
List construction, WLL, length, width or body size, end form, protection, quantity, label language, destination and documents. Compare quotations only after these fields match. JILI can confirm the current model and supplied documents for the quoted construction.
